Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of multi-colored gummy bears scattered on white background design from How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 4" of tiny dots on light blue background design from How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 4-1/4" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
- 2-7/8" x 4-1/8" from Coastal Cabana Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3 pieces each 1" x 2-1/4" from Pineapple Punch Cardstock
- 3 pieces each 1" square of multi-colored diagonal stripes design from How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper
- 3 pieces each 7/8" x 2-1/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
Adhere the strip of tiny dots on light blue background How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper to the rectangle of gummy bears How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper about 1/2" in from the left edge.
Adhere the designer paper rectangle to the front of the Gorgeous Grape card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Sweetest Thing Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Place a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the bunch of gummy bears image from the Sweetest Thing Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp once on Grid Paper. Then, WITHOUT re-inking stamp it along the bottom of the white rectangle. Stamp it multiple times along the bottom of the white rectangle until the layer of gummy bears is about 1-1/2" thick across the bottom edge. Remember to stamp once on Grid Paper before stamping on the cardstock each time.
Mount the "Make it a Sweet celebration" sentiment from the Sweetest Thing Set on Block H. Ink up ONLY the word "Sweet" with the brush tip of the Melon Mambo Marker. Use the brush tip of the Gorgeous Grape Marker to ink up the rest of the words. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it across the top of the stamped white rectangle.
Place the stamped white rectangle on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring in the gummy bears with the Stampin' Blends Markers. Use the fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the dark colors first and then the light colors to blend the colors and color in the spaces. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier. Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove excess ink.
Adhere the colored white rectangle to the Coastal Cabana rectangle and then to the Lemon Lime Twist rectangle.
Adhere the squares of multi-colored diagonal stripes How Sweet It Is Designer Paper to one end of each of the Pineapple Punch strips.
One at a time, carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of a strip of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to the back of the Pineapple Punch/designer paper strip until you've applied the adhesive sheet to each strip. Leave the other protective backing pieces in place.
One at a time, place a piece of Pineapple Punch/designer paper on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Pineapple Punch/designer paper facing up).
Pick out the solid, lollipop framelit from the Jar of Sweets Framelits. Put it on top of the Pineapple Punch/designer paper strip on the Big Shot so the candy part of the lollipop is on the designer paper and the stick of the lollipop will be Pineapple Punch. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Repeat the above steps until you've cut out three lollipops.
One at a time, peel the protective backing off a lollipop cut out and adhere it to the center of the matted, stamped white rectangle so the lollipops overlap each other a bit and are under the word "sweet."
Cut a 5" piece of the Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green 3/8" Reversible Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted, stamped, and colored rectangle so it is centered across the layer of gummy bears and the green side of the ribbon is showing. Flip the rectangle over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the Lemon Lime Twist rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered up and down and overlaps most of the strip of tiny dots on light blue background How Sweet It Is Designer Paper.
Cut a 4" piece of Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green 3/8" Reversible Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon on the card front in the center. Tie it in place using a half knot so the blue side of the ribbon shows. Trim the ends.
