A
fun treat to give out to celebrate the new 2020 Annual Catalog from SU. CASED from Merrilee Mager, but tweaked it a bit experimenting with different ways to do the sunflower.
Sunrich Honey Roasted Sunflower Kernals can be ordered from Amazon.
Project Recipe
A few tips to share:
Cut cardstock for sunflower base and die overlay at 3-1/2" square.
Cut Cinnamon Cider cardstock at 2" wide x 4-1/4" long for front banner. Punch banner bottom with Triple Banner Punch first. Then emboss with Tasteful Textile embossing folder.
Cut Bumblebee cardstock at 2-1/2" wide x 4-1/4" long for back banner. Adhere Cinnamon Cider top edge of banner about 1/4" higher than the Bumblebee banner to leave room for cutting the matching banner end at the bottom of the back tag.
If you have one of the extra sticky lint rollers, they work great to stick the pieces from the sunflower die to. You can even poke out the little dots along the edge of the lint roller but don't let the petals stick to the roller if you can help it. Clean up is easy then.
Assembly is only one staple. Layer up the banners, lay the finished sunflower with leaves glue dotted on the back of it. Add the sunflower seeds to back and staple thru middle of sunflower center catching all layers. Hide the staple with one dimensional on the extra Cinnamon Cider flower center. Then you are all done!
