Q uick and easy "out of the box" friendship card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 2-3/8" x 3-5/8" from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
Place the large Garden Green rectangle vertically on some Grid Paper on your work surface. Pick out the lines of crossed arches and dots mask from the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks. Place it over the cardstock so the tops of the arches are pointing up and the lines run horizontally across the vertical rectangle.
Tip: If desired, use a piece of washi tape to hold the mask in place.
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Garden Green Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush all over the Garden Green rectangle through the mask. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Adhere the stenciled Garden Green rectangle to the front of the Cherry Cobbler card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Sweet As A Peach Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "To a sweet friend!," "Let's celebrate you!," "It's your day!," "hello," or "friend" sentiment from the Sweet As A Peach Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment as close as possible to the bottom edge of the vertical 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" white rectangle so it is centered side to side.
Adhere the sentiment stamped white rectangle to the center of the Cherry Cobbler rectangle.
Adhere the matted sentiment white rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and slightly closer to the top.
Mount the large set of multiple stems and leaves image from the Sweet As A Peach Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" white rectangle.
Pick out the matching stems and leaves die from the Peach Dies. Put it on top of the stamped stems and leaves image on the white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the dies. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Seal and/or Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the stems and leaves cut out to the front of the card so it is centered in the white rectangle above the sentiment and the leaves are all hanging down with the top stem centered near the top edge.
Mount the set of three small peaches image from the Sweet As A Peach Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the matching set of three small peaches die from the Peach Dies. Put it on top of the stamped cherries image on the white square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the images are centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cherry cut outs to the front of the card so they appear to be hanging from the stems.
Cut a 4" piece of the Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2" Metallic Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front at the top of the stems and leaves.
