T here is nothing like washi tape to add color and interest to your card fronts FAST! I had used this layout earlier in the week for a swap with my fellow teammates, on that card I used the Playful Palette Designers Washi Tape and paper. So, for my monthly stamping club I decided to use the new Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper and Washi Tape. I love their patterns and color combination. I accented the front with a greeting from Thoughtful Banner and used one of the banners from the Duet Banner punch. Naturally, I had to add rhinestones, what else would do? This card is a case of Mary Deatherage a demo from Atlanta, GA
Project Recipe
Cardbase (Basic Black): 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded in half for left side opening.
Accent piece (Whisper White): 4" x 5 1/4"Make two, one for outside and one inside.
Greeting piece (Whisper White): scrap approx. 3" x 2"
Attach washi tape diagonal stripes to the card. I started in the middle with the wider tape and worked my way out, trying to leave equal space between. I varied the lengths of tape.
Punch out 5 butterflies in different patterns/colors.
Attach each one at the end of the washi tape.
Use a glue dot to attach the butterfly to the washi tape.
Embellish with a rhinestone.
Using the Thoughtful Banners stamp your greeting in Basic Black ink.
Using Melon Mambo stamp the banner around your greeting.
Punch out the greeting banner with the Banner Duet punch.
Add dimensionals and attach to the bottom right of the card.
