Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" of tiny, multicolored dots on white background design from Cute Halloween 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
Insert the Highland Heather rectangle into the Star-Crossed Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Highland Heather rectangle to the front of the Flirty Flamingo card so the stars triangle is on the upper right side.
Pick out the second largest Stitched With Whimsy Die. Put it on top of the Cute Halloween Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Note: This die doesn't really cut anything out. Instead, it will add stitching texture to the edges of the designer paper.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut along the outside stitched edges on the designer paper. Leave a small amount of paper between the cut edge and the stitching.
Adhere the cut out designer paper rectangle to the front of the card so it is in the center.
Mount the large, brushstroke heart image from the Strong Of Heart Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the large heart surrounded by foliage and flowers from the Floral Heart Dies. Put it on top of the stamped heart image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the heart portion of the die is centered over the stamped heart. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Keep the large, solid heart cut out.
Use the edge of the brush tip of the Highland Heather Marker to carefully outline the edges of the heart cut out.
Adhere the heart cut out to the front of the card so the left edge is about 3/4" from the left edge of the designer paper rectangle and the top edge is about 1/2" from the top edge of the designer paper rectangle.
Mount the "here for you" sentiment from the Strong Of Heart Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white strip.
Pick out the small, skinny label with rounded ends die from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use the edge of the brush tip of the Highland Heather Marker to carefully outline the edges of the sentiment cut out.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower right edge of the heart cut out and is about 1" from the bottom of the designer paper rectangle and about 1/4" from the right edge of the designer paper rectangle.
Cut a 7" piece of the 3/8" Diamond Weave Ribbon.
Lay the piece of ribbon on some Grid Paper on your work surface.
Use the brush tip of the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color both sides of the ribbon piece until you have the color coverage you want.
Fold the colored ribbon into a breast cancer loop and trim the ends at sharp angles.
Put a small strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive along the lower left edge of the heart cut out on the front of the card at an angle. Remove the protective backing and adhere the bottom side of the ribbon loop to the adhesive strip.
Put a small strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ribbon already on the card front at an opposing angle. Remove the protective backing and adhere the top side of the ribbon loop to the adhesive strip forming the finished ribbon loop.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three different sizes of Pumpkin Pie and Highland Heather stars from the sheet of Cute Stars Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card as shown.
