Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Foil Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Silver Foil Sheets
Lightly spritz the 4" x 5-1/4" Night of Navy rectangle with water and insert into the Seasonal Wreath 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Mount the "Season's Greetings" sentiment from the Still Scenes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Silvery Shimmer Delicata Metallic Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the small Night of Navy rectangle.
Tip: The Delicata Metallic Inks dry almost instantly, so no need to heat set or wait for them to dry.
Pick out the long die with rounded ends from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Cut a 4" piece of Whisper White 5/8" Flax Ribbon so it has sharp angles on each end.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the ribbon to the back of the sentiment cut out so it is centered.
If the dry embossed Night of Navy rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Place the dry embossed Night of Navy rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Fill an Aqua Painter with water.
Press the Silvery Shimmer Delicata Metallic Ink Pad to Block D to get some ink on the block. Squeeze a drop or two of water from the Aqua Painter onto the inky block. Stir the water into the ink on the block and get the brush tip of the Aqua Painter loaded with inky water.
Hold the inky brush tip a couple of inches over the dry embossed Night of Navy rectangle and flick the brush with your finger to make drops of inky water fall onto the cardstock. Repeat until you have the coverage you want, getting more inky water on the brush as needed. Set aside to allow to dry.
Tip: Clean the brush tip of the Aqua Painter by scribbling on Grid Paper until no more color is coming off or run the tip under some running water until it is clear.
Tip: Clean the clear block by running it under water as well and allowing it to air dry.
Pick out the deer die from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies. Put it on top of the Silver Foil Sheets rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
If the dry embossed and splattered Night of Navy rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Use small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the foil deer cut out to adhere it to the center of the wreath on the dry embossed and splattered Night of Navy rectangle.
Adhere the dry embossed and splattered Night of Navy rectangle to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the sentiment cut out with ribbon attached to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and covers the bottom of the foil deer cut out.
