Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, Window Sheets, and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 4-1/4" x 6" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/2" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" of one of the silver foil designs from the Feels Like Frost 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Window Sheets
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Seaside Spray Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Put the Night of Navy Cardstock on the Paper Trimmer so the 4-1/4" edge is against the top of the cutting area Score at 1/4" and 1/2".
Put the Night of Navy Cardstock on the Paper Trimmer again but this time make sure the 6" edge is against the top of the cutting area Score at 1", 1-1/4", 3-1/2", and 3-3/4".
Fold on all score lines using a Bone Folder.
Cut off the left and right side flaps along the 1/2" score lines as shown.
Pick out the rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies that cuts out a stitched rectangle that is 1-3/8" wide. Put it on the top of the Night of Navy Cardstock in the center section so it is centered. Run through the tool.
Tip: You may have to press fairly firmly along the edges of the die to pop the cut out loose.
Tip: Save the cut out rectangle for use on another project or recycle it.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive around the edges of the rectangle cut out on the BACK side of the Night of Navy piece. Get the Tear & Tape as close to the edges of the rectangle cut out as possible. Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape strips and adhere the rectangle of Window Sheet in place.
Unlock the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Slide one short edge of the 2" x 4-1/2" strip of Night of Navy Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Adhere the piece of Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the front of the tag punch out so it is centered side to side.
Pick out the deer die from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies. Put it on top of the white rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Adhere the deer cut out to the front of the tag so it is centered side to side and the bottom edge is about 1-1/8" from the bottom edge of the tag.
Put strips from the Foam Adhesive Sheets on top of the Window Sheet on the back side of the Night of Navy piece so they are as close as possible to the edges of the rectangle cut out on the top, left, and right sides. Put a strip of Foam Adhesive Sheet across the bottom of the Window Sheet about 1" from the bottom. Make sure the corners all meet up and there are no gaps that the sequins can fall through later. Try to leave the protective backings in place for now.
Rub the Embossing Buddy all over the back side of the Window Sheet and along the edges of the Foam Adhesive Sheet strips. This will help keep static and the stickiness on the edges of the foam adhesive strips from grabbing the sequins.
Put a large pinch of Snowflake Sequins on top of the Window Sheet inside the rectangle formed by the Foam Adhesive Sheet strips.
Remove the protective backings from the Foam Adhesive Sheet strips and adhere the tag to the inside of the Night of Navy piece so the deer cut and designer paper will show through the rectangle cut out from the front side. Get the bottom of the tag as close as possible to the top score line on the bottom of the Night of Navy piece.
Fold the bottom flap of the Night of Navy box up. Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the top of the small flap. Remove the protective backing and fold the narrow left hand flap over to secure in place making the left side of the box to hold the gift card. Make sure all the lines are straight.
Put a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive along the edge of the folded over left flap and along the inside edge of the larger right flap. Remove the protective backings and fold the larger right flap over to complete the box to hold the gift card. Make sure the lines are straight.
Mount the "Season's Greetings" sentiment from the Still Scenes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Silvery Shimmer Delicata Metallic Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the Seaside Spray rectangle.
Tip: The Delicata Metallic Inks dry almost instantly, so no need to heat set or wait for them to dry.
Pick out the long die with rounded ends from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Use strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the center of the sentiment cut out on the back side to adhere the sentiment cut out to the bottom of the shaker tag box. Make sure the Tear & Tape isn't too long so it doesn't show on the back sides of the sentiment cut out. Make sure the sentiment cut out covers the strip of Foam Adhesive Sheet across the bottom of the rectangle opening and covers the bottom of the deer cut out.
Cut a 7" piece of Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon and a 3-1/2" piece of Seaside Spray 1/4" Metallic Ribbon.
Slide one end of the metallic-edge ribbon through the hole in the top of the tag and get it even. Tie the ribbon in place using the metallic ribbon tied in a knot. Trim the ends of the ribbons at angles.
Slide a gift card, gift certificate, check, or paper money into the pocket behind the tag at the back of the box before giving this shaker tag gift card holder away!
