Place card base in trimmer with 5 1/2" side at the top. (Left side of card base will be the top of your card).
Create a tic mark at 1 1/2" at the top and bottom edge of card base (short sides).
Rotate card base so that the top is now at the top of the trimmer. Create tic marks at 1" and 10" along the bottom of the card base.
Work on the right hand panel first:
Place the top of the right hand score line in the trimmer channel and line up the 1 1/2" score line also in the trimmer channel. Cut triangle off to create angle.
Place point of angle that you created in the trimmer channel and line up the 1" tic mark at the bottom of the card also in the trimmer channel. Cut triangle off.
Repeat on left side.
Place pieces of DSP together with right sides facing in.
Place in trimmer with the long edge to the top. (The top of your paper will now be on the left side). Create a tic mark at 1 1/2" along the long edge.
Rotate the DSP counter clockwise and create a tic mark at 1" on the short edge.
Keeping both pieces of DSP together, line up the top left corner in the trimmer cutting channel and also the 1 1/2" tic mark. Cut to create angle.
Place the tip of the angle you just created in the trimmer channel and also the 1" tic mark. Cut.
This should give you two panels that fit on the front panels of your card base with 1/4" border around all edges.
Adhere the DSP panels to the front of your card base.
Adhere the strip of DSP to the basic white insert and adhere to the inside of the card.
Decorate and embellish!
