I demonstrated this card during my Technique Thursday Facebook Live this evening. It was a hit!
Project Recipe
Start out with 11-1/2" x 4-1/4" basic white cardstock. Score at 4-1/4" and 8-1/2"
Using a 2-1/4" die cut a circle on the left side at the 2-1/2" end of the cardstock. Center the die over the top and the middle section. Save the circle.
Fold the bottom section measuring 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" up to the top. Add 4" x 4" Granny Apple Green cardstock to that section now facing you.
Add 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" DSP from the Pattern Party Host DSP.
Fold the top down onto the bottom section and add Granny Apple Green cardstock to the top.
Cut a 2" circle of Petal Pink cardstock and stamp the greeting "A DAY WITHOUT" in Soft Suede, then adhere the circle to the 2-1/4" basic white circle you cut out. Set aside.
Use the two-step chocolate and detail dies to create the candy. Use Crumb Cake Ink for the candy, and Soft Suede for the detail. Stamp it on a scrap piece of white cardstock and use the corresponding die to cut it out.
Use the die "Chocolate" and cut it out with Soft Suede cardstock.
Cut a 1" x 3-1/4" strip from white cardstock and use the Lovely Labels Punch to cut one end.
Adhere the word "Chocolate" to the left end and adhere it to the front using Dimensionals.
Layer the candy over the end of the label. Add a Dimensional on the right end and use glue to adhere it to the label on the left side if the stamp candy is facing you.
On the inside, at the bottom (opposite the side that has the layered Granny Apple Green CS and DSP. Cut another 4" x 4" DSP and adhere it to the inside.
On the inside on the middle section stamp the sentiment in Soft Suede. Use Crumb Cake and Soft Suede to two-stamp candy in the corner.
Close the card and adhere the white and pink layered circles to the top leaving enough space for the circle to pass through the hole. It might be snug and may bend slightly when opening and closing the card; that's okay.
TA-DA!
