Project Recipe
Fold card base and adhere patterned paper to front.
Using the Stamparatus, line up the vanilla paper according to the taped guidelines and magnet into place.
Ink up the plate with two stamps using Rich Razzleberry ink and stamp. Remove paper and set aside to dry. (*warning: I find this colour ink smudges really easily, to take care not to smear your work!)
Open up your card base and line it up in the top corner of the Stamparatus. (The part with the patterened paper should be face down and at the top.) Use the magnet to secure it. Switch to the second Stamparatus plate with the inside sentiment. Ink up the sentiment with Rich Razzleberry and stamp. (*warning: Don’t close your card yet, wait for the ink to dry or it will smudge!)
While your ink is drying, head over to the Big Shot and cut out the Rich Razzleberry strip to use as an accent. Sizzix adhesive has already been placed on the back for easy gluing. (Note: Your Big Shot sandwich will be: Magnetic Platform, Cutting Pad, cardstock, die facedown, Cutting Pad)
Adhere the stamped vanilla layer to the card front, slightly more to the right. (Careful not to smudge!)
Peel off the backing liner and stick the accent strip to the far left of the vanilla layer.
Add some basic pearls to the flower buds.
Stamp some leaves in Mossy Meadow on the envelope to match and don’t forget to sign the back of your card!
Stamparatus tips:
-To ink your plate take it out of the hinges and lay it flat on the table, OR slip a stamp case under the plate so it lays even while in the hinges.
-Always keep a shammy close by to clean ink off stamps and the plates. You may want to use Stampin’ Ink Spots for better control.
-When making multiples, if you don’t want to use the printed grid for placement (or if you are using the foam mat) use washi tape to help remember the paper placement. You can also slip a scrap paper in there with pencil lines. (If you really want to be fancy you can laminate your paper so it’s reusuable!)
-If you are having trouble getting a good image close to the hinges, a silicone mat placed under your project makes a perfect shim.
-Wrapping some tape around the magnets makes them easier to pick up.
-Never bring the magnets close to each other, they will shatter. I find using just one magnet is more than enough, and just keep the spare in its place under the platform.
-Never store your Stamparatus with both plates in the hinges. They can crack like this.
