I t's already March and almost time for St. Patrick's day! And what represents all things Irish more than the Shamrock! Here's a simple card for the holiday!
Project Recipe
For this card you will need to cut the following card stock...
1- Old Olive cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" , score at 4 1/4 and fold.
1- Basic Black cut to 3 7/8" x 5 1/4"
1- Basic Black cut to 2 7/8" x 4 1/4"
1- Green/white Polkadots cut to 3 3/4" x 5"
1- Whisper white cut to 2 3/4" x 4 1/8"
Using Snail Tape, Take the white card stock and center it on the smaller of the 2 black pieces and adhere it. Do the same with the green polkadot paper on the larger black card stock. Now put them all together as shown.
Then cut out 3 each hearts with the small heart punch from the 2 green Sweet Soree DSP papers, and 3 from the Green/White Polkadots.
Put Dimensionals on the back of the hearts. Arrange the matching hearts to make three shamrocks as shown and stick them to the card.
Take a length of the linen thread and wrap it around the bottom of the card 3 times and tie a bow. Now attach to the Old Olive card base with snail adhesive.
Punch out several circles from the Gold Glimmer paper with the 1/8 & 1/16 hand held circle punches. Use glue to stick the gold glitter dots to the center of the shamrocks and on the card as shown .
Next cut out 1 label with the Everyday label punch in Old Olive. Trim off the top and bottom.Stamp Sentiment on the label, add some little shamrocks for embellishment.
Then take 3 short strands and tie a knot at the bottom. Use a glue dot to stick the knot under the bow, and the thread to each of the shamrocks.
Put dimensionals on the back of the label and place it over the the thread at the bottom right, and you are done.
