F or this tutorial we will learn how to make an impressive Holiday card by sponging through die cut foil snowflakes. I have made several of these cards in assorted colors...my personal favorite is silver doily with Sweet Sugarplum ink and card stock.
Project Recipe
Lay foil side of snowflake down on white card stock. GENTLY daub ink with sponge through the doily (be very careful not to move the doily or to tear it)
Continue by moving doily around page as desired inking until you have the background looking like you want.
Rub greeting panel with embossing buddy to remove static and oils. Stamp greeting with Versamark ink. Cover with silver embossing powder and heat set with the heat tool.
Punch out greeting using the everyday label punch. Adhere dimensionals to backside of greeting and set aside.
Adhere foil doily to card front where desired and cut off excess using sharp paper snips.
Adhere focal image to card base with strong adhesive.
Sponge edges of greeting with stampin sponge and Tranquil Tide ink.
Adhere greeting to card front
Add Rhinestone jewels to finish the card and add sparkle.
Note: if you choose to use gold embossing powder, you can color your rhinestones with a gold sharpie for a coordinated look.
