T
his Special Celebrations Wedding Wallet was created for our friends recent Wedding.
I do love Weddings and I always shed a tear at them!
As in a lot of cases the happy couple have already started setting up their home. A Wishing Well is always the best option for Gift giving in these situations. I'm happy for them to pool the money to purchase a higher priced item they may be in need of.
Now just because you are giving the gift of money or vouchers doesn't mean it can't be "wrapped" nicely. What better way to present it than in a gorgeous one-of-a-kind Card. In my case I made a co-ordinating Envelope that was also decorated to match the card front and was itself tied with Linen Thread. I didn't get a photo of that though....sorry!
I hope you all enjoy this project and the Free Printable Tutorial that I've done for you.
Happy Stampin'
Debbie.
Project Recipe
Cut a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock to measure 20cm length x 26cm width.
Along the 26cm width, score at 10cm and 19.9cm.
This will give you 3 panels.
10cm x 20cm
9.9cm x 20cm
6.1cm x 20cm.
On the the outer edge of the 6.1cm x 20cm panel, mark half way (10cm) down the length with a lead pencil.
Using a 1 1/4" Circle Punch, punch a semi-circle making sure your pencil mark is in the middle of the semi-circle. This will ensure a well centred punched out area.
Fold this panel over and give it a good burnish with your Bone Folder so that it sits nice and flat.
You can now adhere this flap down to create the Wallet area to slide money or larger vouchers into.
Be sure to only use your adhesives on the sides of the flap!
My glue of choice is Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive but you can also use Fast Fuse or Tear and Tape Adhesive.
Cut 2 pieces of Shimmery White Cardstock 18.8cm x 8.8cm.
Cut 2 pieces of Crumb Cake Cardstock 19.2cm x 9.2cm.
Cut 1 piece of Shimmery White Cardstock 6.5cm x 6.5cm.
Cut 1 piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock
6.8cm x 6.8cm.
Lightly Sponge Crumb Cake Ink around the edges of all Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Stamp the floral design from the "Wood Words" stamp set all over one piece of 18.8cm x 8.8cm Shimmery White Cardstock, using your Crumb Cake Ink Pad.
You can now adhere this to a piece of the 19.2cm x 9.2cm Crumb Cake Cardstock making sure to centre it.
This panel can now be adhered to the front of your Wallet Card.
*Be careful to make sure that you put this on the correct panel. The pocket that holds the money should be on the left hand side as the recipients open their card. They will be wanting to see your message for them as they open the card, not the pocket.
You may use the adhesive of your choice. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
Stamp the " For a Special Couple" greeting from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set onto the bottom edge of the 6.5cm x 6.5cm Shimmery White Cardstock.
Fold a 70cm piece of Linen Thread into 3. Using my photo for a guide wrap the thread around the Shimmery White cardstock and tie in a bow. Trim the ends to suit.
Adhere a large Wooden Heart from the Hearts and Stars Embellishment Pack over the Thread. I used Glue Dots for this as it sat better over the thread.
Adhere a Corrugated Heart over the side of the Wooden Heart using the photo as a guide to placement. I used 1 Glue Dot where it would be over the Wooden Heart and 2 Mini Stampin' Dimensionals over the other side to add support and adhesion.
Adhere a Small Wooden Heart onto the Corrugated Heart. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue for this step.
Adhere the 6.8cm x 6.8cm piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock onto the front of the Card, placing it on the upper half. You can use your choice of adhesive. Use the photo as a guide for placement.
Adhere the decorated Greeting Panel over the Crumb Cake square using Stampin' Dimensionals to make it pop up just that little bit more.
Stamp the "Side by side.........." greeting from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set onto the second piece of 18.8cm x 8.8cm Shimmery White Cardstock using your Crumb Cake Ink Pad.
Adhere this over the second piece of 19.2cm x 9.2cm Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Adhere this insert to the inside of your card.
