P retty card to say sorry for almost anything using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Peekaboo Peach Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Calypso Coral Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Smoky Slate Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5" from Calypso Coral Cardstock
- 2" x 5" from Peekaboo Peach Cardstock
Place the white rectangle into the Quilt Top Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide the strip of Calypso Coral Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Slide the strip of Peekaboo Peach Cardstock into the Banner Triple Punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "Sorry" sentiment from the Sorry for Everything Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it on the notched Peekaboo Peach piece so the "s" is near the notch with the notch on the left.
Pick out the line of little dots thinlit from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. Place the stamped sentiment notched strip on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the line of little dots thinlit on top so the last dot is near the "y" in the word sorry and the line of dots run below the rest of the word. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush to remove cardstock.
Tip: If you don't like the little lines that appear sometimes when you use a thinlit or framelit on a larger piece of cardstock, remove the thinlit or framelit after cutting with it. Then, place another piece of cardstock over the top of the first piece of cardstock and run it through the Big Shot again. This should help smooth out the lines.
Adhere the Calypso Coral notched strip to the back of the Peekaboo Peach stamped, notched, and cut piece so that the Calypso Coral shows through all the little holes and peeks out from behind the notch on the left side by about 1/4" inch.
Adhere the notched sentiment strips to the bottom, right side of the dry embossed white piece so that the white only shows along the bottom by about 1/8" and the curl on the "y" is very close to the right edge. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess on the right side.
Adhere the white layer to the Calypso Coral rectangle and then to the front of the Peekaboo Peach card.
Unlock the Cat Punch. Slide the strip of Smoky Slate Cardstock into the punch and punch.
Mount the Marbled background on Block F. Leave the stamp rubber side up on your work surface. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad by rubbing the pad across the stamp. Place the cat punch out onto a portion of the inked up background stamp so that when you turn the punch out over to reveal the pattern, the cat will be facing left. Fold the Grid Paper over the stamp and rub. Unfold the Grid Paper and carefully remove the cat punch out.
Cut a 1-1/4" piece of Calypso Coral 1/8" Sheer Ribbon.
Wrap the ribbon around the cat's neck and secure the ends in place using strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Trim off excess ribbon.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cat punch out. Adhere the cat in place so he appears to be sitting on the "rry" in the word "Sorry."
Pick out a Peekaboo Peach 2016-2018 In Color Glitter Acrylic Shape. Adhere it to the right side of the cat's collar with a Mini Glue Dot.
