Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" of pink and purple mottled design from Flight & Airy 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Softly Sophisticated Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "hello there" sentiment from the Softly Sophisticated Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle as close to the bottom as possible.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the front of the Highland Heather card.
Pick out the postage stamp rectangle die that cuts out a postage stamp rectangle that is 2" x 2-3/4" from the Perennial Postage Dies. Put it on top of the Flight & Airy Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Insert the designer paper postage stamp rectangle cut out into the embossing folder included in the Softly Sophisticated Bundle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the designer paper inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed designer paper postage stamp rectangle cut out to the center of the card front so it is about 1/2" from the top.
Pick out the set of two tall, thin lavender stems die from the Painted Lavender Dies. Put it on top of the remaining skinny white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Place the two tall, thin lavender stem cut outs on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blends to color in the stems of the cut outs.
Use the Light and Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blends to color in the flowers of the cut outs.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the two stems to the front of the card so they cross each other at the stems and are centered over the postage stamp cut out as shown.
Cut a 4" piece of the Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps stems at the bottom of the postage stamp rectangle cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small and 2 large Gorgeous Grape or Highland Heather gems from the sheet of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
