S oft and pretty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Shimmery White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Shimmery White Cardstock
Put 4 to 5 drops of Balmy Blue Ink Refill into an empty Stampin' Spritzer. Fill the rest of the spritzer up with 1/3 water and 2/3 rubbing alcohol. Give it a good shake to mix the color into the water/alcohol mix.
Place the large shimmery white rectangle horizontally on some Grid Paper on your work surface. Pick out the snowflakes mask from the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks. Place it over the cardstock.
Tip: If desired, use a piece of washi tape to hold the mask in place.
Use the blue water/alcohol in the Stampin' Spritzer to spray on the cardstock through the mask until you get the coverage you desire, but you don't want it to be too dark. Set the cardstock aside to let it dry.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if desired.
As you are ready to stamp using the Snowflake Wishes Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Snowflake Wishes for a Merry Christmas" sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes Set on an Block H. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining thin rectangle of Shimmery White Cardstock.
Pick out the long, skinny label with rounded ends die from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the label. Run through the machine.
If your spritzed snowflakes on the large Shimmery White rectangle are dry, proceed with the next step.
Adhere the spritzed snowflakes Shimmery White rectangle to the Misty Moonlight rectangle and then to the front of the Balmy Blue card.
Carefully punch a snowflake from a sheet of Wonderful Snowflakes.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the punched out snowflake to the front of the card so the left and top edges almost touch the left and top edges of the Shimmery White rectangle.
Adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom right side of the snowflake punch out. The right end of the sentiment label cut out should be about 3/8" from the right edge of the card and the bottom edge should be about 7/8" from the bottom of the card.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large and small Balmy Blue gem from the sheet of Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere the large gem to the center of the snowflake punch out. Adhere the small gem to the right end of the sentiment label cut out.
Cut a 9" piece of the Misty Moonlight/silver Baker's Twine from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a small bow in the center of the twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow at a slight angle to the left end of the sentiment label cut out.
