F un card using retiring products from Stampin' Up!
Project Recipe
Cut card stock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Watermelon Wonder Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Peekaboo Peach Card Stock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of rows of ice cream cones on white background design from Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut to make sure the rows of ice cream cones are vertical
- 2-3/4" x 4" of Pool Party grid design from Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3" from Whisper White Card Stock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Watermelon Wonder Card Stock
- 1" x 3" from Whisper White Card Stock
- scrap of Peekaboo Peach Card Stock
Adhere the rows of ice cream cones Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper to the large Peekaboo Peach rectangle and then to the front of the Watermelon Wonder card.
Mount the "Time to Chill" sentiment from the Snow Place Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Chocolate Chip Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Watermelon Wonder strip.
Pick out the long, single, open banner framelit from the Bunch of Banners Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so the sentiment is closer to the right side. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Poke out the banner with the sentiment and keep it. Also use the Paper-Piercing Tool to poke out the outline banner that is probably stuck inside the framelit, remove it, and throw it away. If you don't remove it, then you will have trouble cutting with this framelit the next time you use it.
Adhere the sentiment banner to the top left of the grid design of Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper about 1/2" from the top so that the left edge of the banner goes off the left side. Trim off excess.
Slide one of the paper clips from the Mini Paper Clips Combo Pack onto the left end of the banner part way.
Cut a 6-1/2" piece of Calypso Coral Thick Baker's Twine. Tie it to the end of the paper clip in a small bow and trim the ends. Slide the paper clip the rest of the way on.
Put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the designer paper rectangle. Remove the protective backings and adhere it to the upper left side of the card front about 3/8" from the left and top sides of the ice cream paper.
Mount the penguin image from the Snow Place Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Chocolate Chip Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the larger white rectangle which you've placed on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat.
Pick out the penguin framelit from the Snow Friends Framelits. Place the stamped white rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of your Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the penguin framelit on top of the stamped penguin image. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the brush tip of the Peekaboo Peach Marker to color in the penguins beak and feet.
Adhere the penguin to the bottom center of the grid designer paper.
Mount the bow tie image from the Snow Place Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Peekaboo Peach card stock.
Pick out the bow tie framelit from the Snow Friends Framelits. Place the stamped bow tie on the Cutting Pad on top of your Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the bow tie framelit on top of the stamped bow tie image. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the bow tie to the penguin.
Mount the ice cream cone image from the Snow Place Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Chocolate Chip Ink Pad. Stamp it on the strip of white two times. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Pick out the ice cream cone framelit from the Snow Friends Framelits. Place the stamped strip on the Cutting Pad on top of your Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the ice cream cone framelit on top of one the stamped ice cream cone images. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat with the other ice cream cone.
Use the brush tip of the Crumb Cake Marker to color in the bottom of one of the ice cream cones.
Use the brush tips of the Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder Markers to color in the scoops of ice cream.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the completely colored ice cream cone to the penguin's right flipper.
Use the Paper Snips to cut the ice cream scoop off the top of the other cone. Adhere it to the top of the first ice cream cone using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
