Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Bermuda Bay Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" of hello speech bubbles in different colors and languages on white background design from Snail Mail Designer Series Paper, cut so the words are right side up on the vertical rectangle
- 3" square of curving, dotted, white lines on blue background design from Snail Mail Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" from Blushing Bride Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" square from Real Red Cardstock
Cut a 4" piece of the Coastal Cabana 1/4" ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the large designer paper rectangle about 3/4" from the top edge. Flip the designer paper over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper rectangle. Adhere it to the center of the large Real Red rectangle so the top and bottom edges are even. Then, adhere the layered designer paper/cardstock rectangle to the front of the Bermuda Bay card so the top and bottom edges are even.
Pick out the large solid die from the Snail Dies that will cut and score an envelope pattern. Put it on top of the curving white lines on blue background square of designer paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Fold in the two short flaps on the score lines on the envelope cut out. Use a Mini Glue Dot on the top of the point near the center of the envelope on one of the flaps to adhere the two flaps together.
Fold the bottom flap on the score line on the envelope cut out. Use a Mini Glue Dot on the top of the points in the center of the envelope to hold the bottom flap in place.
Adhere the folded up, blue envelope with the top flap unfolded to the front of the card at an angle as shown so the bottom right corner is about 1" from the bottom edge of the card and it is centered side to side on the designer paper rectangle on the card.
Unlock the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. Slide the Blushing Bride rectangle into the punch. Punch.
Mount the speech bubble image from the Snailed It Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the matching speech bubble die from the Snail Dies. Put it on top of the stamped speech bubble on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the stamped image. Run through the machine.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Snailed It Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the speech bubble cut out so the point of the speech bubble is pointing off to the bottom left.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the speech bubble cut out to the top of the postage stamp punch out.
Adhere the hello speech bubble stamp punch out to the front of the card so it is tucked into the top of the blue envelope as shown.
Pick out one of the little heart dies from the Snail Dies. Put it on top of the small Real Red square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the small heart cut out to the front of the blue envelope over the area where the points meet in the center.
Cut a 9" piece of the Coastal Cabana 1/4" ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the center of the ribbon already on the card front.
