Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Granny Apple Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of green leaves and purple blackberries on white background design from Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper
- 3" square from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 3" square from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White or Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Berry Delightful Designer Paper to the large Blackberry Bliss rectangle.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the matted designer paper so the ribbon is about 1" from the bottom. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Blackberry Bliss rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Granny Apple Green card.
Pick out the scalloped circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 2-9/16" diameter. Put it on top of the Blackberry Bliss square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the tool.
Mount the snail with an envelope on his back image from the Snailed It Set on Block C. Carefully ink up only the sentiment using the side of the brush tip of the Blackberry Bliss Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment near the bottom center of the Granny Apple Green square. Be sure to leave room to cut out the circle in the next step. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Pick out the smooth circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-3/8" diameter. Put it on top of the Granny Apple Green square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is as close to the bottom as possible and centered side to side. Run through the tool.
Adhere the Granny Apple Green sentiment circle cut out to the center of the Blackberry Bliss scalloped circle cut out.
Adhere the matted circle to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon.
Ink up the snail with an envelope on his back image on Block C with the Memento Pad. Stamp the image on the rectangle of white cardstock.
Pick out the matching snail with envelope die from the Snail Dies. Put it on top of the stamped snail image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the snail is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Put the snail cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to color in the snail's body and antenna, but leave the eyeballs white.
Use the Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to color the bottom of the envelope.
Use the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to color the top of the envelope and to color along the swirl of the snail's shell.
Use the Dark and Light Blackberry Bliss and Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the snail's shell.
Use the Light Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends to color in the heart on the envelope.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends if needed to remove excess color.
Adhere the colored snail cut out to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals so it is centered over the sentiment on the circle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 white hearts from a sheet of Resin Hearts making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card on the circle around the snail.
Cut an 8" piece of the Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the left side of the ribbon already on the card at a slight angle.
