S imple, pretty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Old Olive Cardstock
Place the large Whisper White rectangle inside the Cable Knit 3D Dynamic Embossing Folder so the rows are horizontal. Place the folder with the card stock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the large Old Olive rectangle and then to the front of the Real Red card.
Mount the set of vertical stripes image from the Smitten Mittens Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the smaller Old Olive strip.
Mount the open rectangle image from the Smitten Mittens Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it around the vertical stripes already stamped on the smaller Old Olive strip.
Pick out the open rectangle framelit and the solid rectangle with vertical stripes framelit from the Many Mittens Framelits. Place the stamped Old Olive strip on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the open rectangle framelit on top so it is centered over the image, then put the solid, striped rectangle in the center. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the smaller rectangle of Whisper White Cardstock on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Mount the mitten with words in it image from the Smitten Mittens Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Tip: Using the Stampin' Pierce Mat under the cardstock when stamping with solid photopolymer stamps will give you a cleaner, crisper stamped image.
Pick out the matching open mitten framelit from the Many Mittens Framelits. Place the stamped mitten image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the mitten framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot
Adhere the Old Olive cuff to the back of the mitten so about 1/4" of the cuff shows.
Adhere the mitten to the center of the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Cut a 7" piece of the red Mini Tinsel Trim. Tie it in a small bow. Trim the ends.
Adhere the bow to the upper left corner of the mitten using a Mini Glue Dot.
