Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1" x 5" of small, closely packed, multicolor flowers with leaves on white background design from Flowering Zinnias 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-5/8" x 5" of small, closely packed, multicolor flowers with leaves on white background design from Flowering Zinnias 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3/4" x 4-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3" from Real Red Cardstock
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the three strips of Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper on the 4" x 5-1/4" vertical white rectangle to figure out spacing and placement. The large strip should be in the center with the two thinner strips on either side with about 1/8" of white showing along the top, bottom, left, and right edges and a small amount of white showing between the strips. When happy with the placement, adhere the pieces in place one at a time.
Mount the group of 3 zinnia flowers with leaves and stems from the Simply Zinnias Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-3/4" x 4" white rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open set of 3 zinnias with stems and leaves die from the Simply Zinnia Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Adhere the flowers cut out to the designer paper/white layer as shown so the leaves on the right almost touch the right side of the designer paper strips and the top of the flowers is about 1/2" from the top of the white layer.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the white strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide one short edge of the Real Red strip into the right side of the unlocked punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Mount the "sending flowers and thinking of you" sentiment from the Simply Zinnia Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched white strip so the sentiment is as close as possible to the left side of the strip and the punched edge is on the left side.
Adhere the punched red strip to the back of the sentiment strip as shown so about 1/8" of red shows and is centered behind the white strip.
Adhere the stamped, punched, and layered sentiment strip to the bottom of the layered designer paper/white rectangle so it covers the bottom of the flower stems and the punched edge of the red strip almost touches the left edge.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off excess cardstock on the right side.
Adhere the designer paper/white layer with flowers and sentiment strip attached to the front of the Real Red card.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the white ribbon from the Petal Pink & White 1/4" Diagonal Trim Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to color both sides of the ribbon. Allow to dry for a few minutes.
Use your fingers to crinkle the colored ribbon a few times to soften it back up. Tie a small knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front as shown so it is centered over the bottoms of the stems at the top of the sentiment strip.
