C AS Mother's Day card using Crazy About You stamps and April 2016 Paper Pumpkin stamps
Project Recipe
Cut a 4-1/2" x 8-1/2" Thick Whisper White card base. Score and fold at 4-1/4". It's not quite square. Actually, when the card started out, it was a regular A2 card, but after I did all the stamping, I cut off an inch. Stamp the leaves twice on the card base in Old Olive. I used the MISTI to make sure I got solid coverage. Then stamp the flower in Blushing Bride directly on the base. You will overlap the stems with your flower. That's okay.
Stamp your sentiment directly on the card base in Old Olive ink. I used the Happy Mother's Day stamp from the April 2016 Paper Pumpkin. You can also use one of the stamps from Birthday Blooms or Cottage Greetings. Color in the little flowers and leaves using Old Olive, Blushing Bride, and Daffodil Delight markers.
On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock (regular, not thick), stamp the flower twice more in Blushing Bride, then clean the stamp and stamp it once in Daffodil Delight. I used the MISTI here, too, because there are a lot of solid areas on this stamp. If you have the Flower Medallion punch, you can punch out one of the Blushing Bride flowers with it. I don't, so I used my snips. Cut out the smallest center of the other Blushing Bride flower and the medium center of the Daffodil flower with paper snips.
Glue the largest Blushing Bride flower down on top of the one that you stamped on the base. Your stems are now covered, and you didn't have to mask anything! Use Dimensionals to add the Daffodil Delight layer on top of the flower, lining up the petals exactly. Add the largest size of Pearl Basic Jewels to the center of the smallest Blushing Bride flower, then add to the card with Dimensionals, again lining up the petals with the Daffodil flower.
