Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Purple Posy Cardstock
- purple umbrella top punched or cut by hand from a piece of umbrellas and flowers design Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper
Insert the Highland Heather rectangle into the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder so the lines are vertical on the vertical rectangle. Use the line drawn on the front of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed purple rectangle to the front of the Gorgeous Grape card. Make sure the points of the tear drops embossed into the cardstock are pointing up.
Rub the Embossing Buddy all over the Gorgeous Grape rectangle.
Mount the kissing couple silhouette image from the Silhouette Scenes Set on Block I. Carefully ink up most of the stamp with the VersaMark Pad. Try to ink up as little as possible of the umbrella top, but make sure you get all of the couple's heads. Stamp it in the center of the Gorgeous Grape rectangle so the feet are about 3/8" from the bottom edge.
Lay the stamped cardstock on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some White Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped image. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Tip: I use a fine-tip paintbrush to knock off any excess powder that is stuck anywhere I don't want it.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and more opaque white).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips to cut out the purple umbrella top from the piece of Pleased As Punch Designer Paper.
Tip: If you have the Umbrella Builder Punch, you can just punch out the umbrella top.
Adhere the umbrella top to the top of the heat embossed image so it covers any of the stamped umbrella top image. You may need to tilt it a bit and it will cover part of the man's head.
Adhere the heat embossed image rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered top to bottom and about 1/2" from the left edge.
Pick out the "forever" word die from the Sweet Sihouettes Dies. Put the die on top of the Purple Posy rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and/or paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the word cut out to the front of the card at an angle so the word overlaps the feet of the heat embossed image and hangs over the edge of the heat embossed rectangle as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 Highland Heather flower sequins from a sheet of Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one to the center of the "f" in the word cut out on the left side. Adhere the other two randomly to the card front.
