S weet and easy Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/4" of tiny white dots on red background design from Santa's Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 4" from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- image of Mrs. Claus roughly cut with plenty of border from the Mrs. Claus, elves, and signposts on white background design from Santa's Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Signs of Santa Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "A Joyful Christmas" sentiment from the Signs of Santa Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the white rectangle.
Pick out the long, scalloped edge thinlit from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. Place the strip of Poppy Parade on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped edge thinlit along the very bottom of the long edge of the cardstock so you'll get three full scallops. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock on the ends of the scalloped strip so you have 3 full scallops.
Unlock the 3/4" Circle Punch. Slide the white strip into the punch and punch. Slide the cardstock over and punch two more times so you have 3 circles of white.
Adhere the circles to the inside of the scallops on the strip of Poppy Parade.
Adhere the strip of Santa's Workshop Designer Paper to the top of the scalloped strip so the left edges are even and the scallops with part of the white circles peek out along the bottom left side of the designer paper.
Adhere the strip of designer paper with the scallops attached to the stamped white rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the top.
Adhere the layered white rectangle to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
Pick out the Mrs. Claus framelit from the Santa's Signpost Framelits. Place the roughly cut out Mrs. Claus image from the Santa's Workshop Designer Paper on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Mrs. Claus framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the Mrs. Claus cut out to the front of the card so her feet are even with the bottom of the designer paper strip and she is just to the right of the right end of the scallops.
