Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and foil sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 2" x 4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 2" from Gold Foil Sheets
Mount the double reindeer image from the Seasonal Chums Set on Block I. Ink up the front half of the reindeer using the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp on the white rectangle. Set aside to let the ink dry for a few minutes.
Unlock the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Slide the Old Olive rectangle in as far as it will go. Punch.
Unlock the Ticket Tear Border Punch. Slide the flat end of the Old Olive tag into the punch so it butts up against the guide at the back of the punch. Punch. Slide the punched cardstock over a little bit and line up the punched area with the silver design printed on the base of the punch. Punch again. Repeat until the entire length has been punched.
Tip: I sometimes find it easier to line things up with this punch if I turn the punch over so I can see the punching area. I then line up the punched areas with the designs of the punch before punching again.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the strip of Gold Foil Sheets to the bottom of the tag just above the jagged punched edge.
Cut an 8" piece of Gold 1/8" Ribbon. Fold the ribbon in half. Stick the folded end through the hole in the top of the tag and pull the loop out. Stick the loose ends through the loop and tighten the ribbon in place.
Pick out the double reindeer framelit from the Seasonal Tags Framelits. Place the stamped front of the reindeer image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the double reindeer framelit on top so the front reindeer is centered over the front reindeer image. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Paper Snips to trim off any excess cardstock at the top of the front reindeer image cut out.
Place the reindeer cut out image on Grid Paper to protect your work surface since Stampin' Blends Markers bleed through the cardstock.
Use the Stampin' Blends Markers to color in the reindeer image. The ink from the Stampin' Blends Markers needs to be wet for easier blending, so you need to work on small areas at a time.
Use the Cherry Cobbler Marker to color in the nose.
Use the Daffodil Delight Marker to color in the bell.
Use the Old Olive Markers to color in the bow.
Use the Bronze Marker to color in the antlers, hooves, and back spots.
Use the Crumb Cake Markers to color in the rest of the deer.
Adhere the colored reindeer cut out to the front of the tag just over the foil strip using Stampin' Dimensionals.
