P retty candy holders using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Foil Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- 2" x 6-3/4" from Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the design is vertical on the vertical strip
- 2 different colored pieces each 2-1/4" x 3" from Noble Peacock Foil Sheets
- 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" from cardstock (I used Old Olive and Pretty Peacock)
Unlock the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Slide one short end of the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper strip into the punch as far as it will go and punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide the other end of the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper strip into the punch as far as it will go and punch.
Use a scoring tool to score the punched strip at 3-1/8" and 3-5/8".
Fold on both score lines. Insert two Ghirardelli chocolate squares into the folded strip.
Cut a 4" piece of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon through the holes in the top of the candy holder and get it centered. Tie in place using a knot. Trim the ends.
Pick out the detailed, large feather die from the Detailed Peacock Dies. Put the die on top of one of the Foil Sheet rectangles on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Make sure the foil side of the foil sheet is face up. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and/or paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Keep the die out for use on the next step.
Put a piece of copy paper on top of the platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Put the other rectangle of Foil Sheet on top of the copy paper foil side down. Put the feather die on top. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and/or paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Tip: By putting the foil side down to cut out this feather it will be facing a different direction. Putting a piece of copy paper between the foil sheet and the platform will keep scratches on the platform from transferring to the foil.
Layer the two feather cut outs so they overlap each other along the bottom stems. Place them on the front of the candy holder so the stems are on the lower left side. Use a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the stems in place.
As you are ready to stamp using the Royal Peacock Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "You are incredible" sentiment from the Royal Peacock Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the cardstock rectangle (I used Old Olive and Pretty Peacock).
Pick out the open, stitched, label die from the Perfect Parcel Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the candy holder so it overlaps the feather stems in the lower left corner and overhangs the right side of the candy holder a bit.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up two small rhinestones in a coordinating color from a sheet of Noble Peacock Rhinestones being sure to get adhesives as well. Adhere them to the left and right edges of the sentiment label cut out.
