G orgeous card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Foil Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" of Blueberry Bushel foil from Noble Peacock Foil Sheets
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Insert the Old Olive rectangle into the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder so the lines will run vertically down the vertical rectangle. Use the line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Run the folder with the paper inside through your die cutting and embossing tool.
Adhere the dry embossed Old Olive rectangle to the front of the Blueberry Bushel card.
Pick out the detailed peacock die from the Detailed Peacock Dies. Put the die on top of the Blueberry Bushel Foil Sheet rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Make sure the foil side of the foil sheet is face up. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and/or paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Save some of the curly inside bits from the peacock's tail.
As you are ready to stamp using the Royal Peacock Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the “So Very Proud of You” sentiment from the Royal Peacock Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad. Stamp it on the strip of white cardstock leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the 2” Circle Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Get the sentiment lined up in the punching area so it is in the upper left. Punch.
Unlock the 2-1/4” Circle Punch. Slide the Blueberry Bushel Cardstock strip into the punch and punch.
Adhere the sentiment circle punch out to the center of the blue circle punch out.
Adhere a few of the inside curly bits from the peacock’s tail to the back of the matted sentiment circle so they will stick up from behind on the upper left side.
Adhere the matted sentiment circle with curly bits attached to the card front in the upper left corner.
Use a few Mini Glue Dots to adhere the peacock cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the right side of the matted sentiment circle.
Cut a 3-1/2” piece of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front at an angle near the bottom right side of the matted sentiment circle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up an Old Olive rhinestone from a sheet of Noble Peacock Rhinestones being sure to get adhesive as well. Adhere to peacock’s head where the eye would be.
