S oft and pretty sympathy card using Stampin' Up! products. This card can easily be changed to meet the needs of other occasions by simply changing the sentiment.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Peekaboo Peach Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Rose Red Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Shimmery White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Peekaboo Peach Cardstock
Place a piece of Grid Paper on top of a Stampin' Pierce Mat to protect it from ink. As you are ready to stamp using the Rose Wonder Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large rose with leaves image from the Rose Wonder Set on Block F. Use the brush tip of the Rose Red Marker to ink up the rose portion of the image. Use the brush tip of the Pear Pizzazz Marker to ink up the leaves. Don't worry if you get ink inside the lines of the image. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp on the piece of Shimmery White Cardstock so the group of three leaves are pointing to the upper left corner and the right edge of the rose goes off the right edge of the cardstock.
Fill an Aqua Painter with water.
Squeeze the lid of the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Squeeze a bit of water from the Aqua Painter into the pad lid. Use the brush tip of the Aqua Painter to mix the water into the ink. Then, paint over the rose image. Add more color as needed. It is okay if the Rose Red lines bleed a little, in fact you want them to bleed. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Aqua Painter until no more color is coming off.

Squeeze the lid of the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad again to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Squeeze a bit of water from the Aqua Painter into the pad lid. Use the brush tip of the Aqua Painter to mix the water into the ink. Then, hold the inky brush tip of the Aqua Painter a few inches above the cardstock. Sharply tap the brush tip end of the Aqua Painter to make Peekaboo Peach water splatter off and onto the cardstock. Repeat until happy with the splattering. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Aqua Painter until no more color is coming off. Set the cardstock aside to let it dry.
Tip: Be sure to make sure that you won't splatter ink on anything else by clearing your work area a bit.
Mount the tag frame image from the Rose Wonder Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Rose Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Peekaboo Peach rectangle.
Mount one of the smaller sentiments of your choice from the Rose Wonder Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Rose Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the tag frame on the Peekaboo Peach rectangle.
Pick out the matching tag framelit from the Rose Garden Thinlits. Place the stamped sentiment tag on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the tag framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment tag. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
If the Shimmery White Cardstock is dry, proceed to the next step. If it is not dry, you can speed up drying by using the Heat Tool if you wish.
Adhere the dry shimmery white piece to the Rose Red rectangle.
Cut a 5" piece of Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the cardstock layers about 3/4" up from the bottom. Flip the cardstock over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the Peekaboo Peach card.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment tag cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon on the left side.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card on top of the ribbon on the right side of the sentiment tag cut out.
Carefully peel up small White Perfect Accents circle making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the card front in the center of the rose.
