Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mossy Meadow Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 2-1/4" and 6-1/2"
- 2" x 5-1/4" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 5-1/8" of white leaves scattered on green background design from Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 1-5/8" x 5-1/8" of white stripes on green background design from Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are vertical on the vertical strip
- 3" square from Early Espresso Cardstiock
- 3" square from Whisper White Cardstock
Use a Bone Folder to fold the side panels of the Mossy Meadow card into the center. Make sure the wider panel is on the left side.
Adhere the white leaves on green piece of Magnolia Lane Designer Paper to the 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Early Espresso Cardstock. Then, adhere it to the wider panel on the left side of the card front.
Adhere the white stripes on green piece of Magnolia Lane Designer Paper to the 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Early Espresso Cardstock.
Place the matted striped designer paper piece on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick tool to poke two holes, one above the other, in the designer paper/cardstock in the upper right corner. Leave about 3/8" between the two holes.
Pick out two small copper brads from the Metallic Brads. Insert the prongs of the brads through the holes. Fold the prongs flat on the underside of the brown rectangle.
Tip: If you have a small crafting hammer, you can lightly tap on the brads to flatten the prongs out.
Use SNAIL and Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the striped designer paper/cardstock with brads attached to the narrower right panel of the card front so the brads are in the upper right corner.
Pick out the scalloped circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 2-13/16" diameter. Put it on top of the Early Espresso square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Put small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of one half of the scalloped Early Espresso circle. Remove the protective backings and adhere the scalloped circle to the wider left panel of the card front so the top of the circle is about 3/4" from the top of the card. Make sure no adhesive goes over the right edge of the left panel or the card won't open.
Mount the "thinking of you" sentiment from the Rooted In Nature Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the smooth circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-7/16" diameter. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Place the sentiment circle cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Mount the three leaves on a stem image from the Rooted In Nature Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp onto Grid Paper. Then, WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp it onto the sentiment circle cut out. Repeat until you have stamped leaves all over the circle cut out, remembering to re-ink and then stamp off on Grid Paper each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the circle. Rotate the orientation of the stamp each time.
Adhere the stamped sentiment circle cut out to the center of the scalloped circle cut out on the card front.
Pick out a copper 3-leaf trinket from the Leaves Trinkets. Adhere it to the card front using a Mini Glue Dot so the stem of the trinket overlaps the matted circles on the lower left side.
Cut an 8" piece of 3/16" Braided Linen Trim.
Tie a small bow in the center of the trim. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the front of the card so it is centered over the top of the stem of the leaves trinket.
