I love this card for its simplicity. It could be used as a birthday card or sympathy card
Project Recipe
card base - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
- fold in half so card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Pear Pizazz - cut to 4 x 5 1/4 (mat)
Very Vanilla - cut to 3 3/4 x 5 (cut 2)
Punch one each
Pear Pizazz
Very Vanilla
Using a scrap paper 3 3/4 x 5"
punch a 2' circle where you would like the circle to show on the card front. I placed it a bit to the side about 1 1/2 " from the bottom
Place this piece of paper over the very vanilla cardstock.
Using the sponge brayer, gently run it over the pear Pizazz ink in one direction only for even coverage. Roll it over the circle (again one direction only) until you like how it looks then remove the scrap. I chose to make it very light at the top and darker as you go to the bottom of the circle.
Stamp the tree image using Old Olive so it lies just below the circle but so the branches overlap the circle.
Adhere the matting to the front of the card
Wrap the ribbon around the base of the very vanilla, below the stamped image and tie a knot or if you prefer a bow. Adhere to the matting on the front of the card
Stamp a sentiment to the punched out label then adhere to the pear pizazz label using the snail adhesive. I used the Happy Birthday from the Beautiful You Stamp set for this card but you could put any sentiment on to suit the occasion.
Place dimmensionals to the back and adhere to the front of the card so it overlaps the ribbon.
Adhere the second VV card stock to the inside of the card and either write or stamp another sentiment.
And you have a beautiful card
