Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pineapple Punch Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-7/8" of multicolored lines made up of dots, dashes, and triangles on white background design from Dinoroar Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Unlock the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. Slide one of the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" pieces of white cardstock into the punch as far as it will go and center it side to side. Punch. Keep the large piece of white with a circle punched out of it as a stencil for the next steps. Throw away the circle punch out or save it for use on another project.
Place the white cardstock with the circle punched out of it on top of the other 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white piece so they are lined up.
Rub a quarter piece of Stamping Sponge across the open Pineapple Punch Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, rub it onto the layered white rectangles through the hole punched in the top layer until you have the color saturation you want. Get more ink on the sponge piece as needed. Be careful not to move the top mask layer of white cardstock.
Tip: Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters using scissors. This will give you more pieces of sponge to work with and will give you more control as the pieces are smaller and easier to hold.
Tip: I just clean my sponge pieces when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
As you are ready to stamp using the Rise & Shine Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the steam wisps image from the Rise & Shine Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pineapple Punch Ink Pad. Stamp it on the stenciled white layer so the top of the curls are about 1/4" from the top edge and the left edge of the curls is about 5/8" from the left edge.
Mount the "Make Today Amazing" sentiment from the Rise & Shine Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it on the stenciled white rectangle so it overlaps the top right side of the stenciled yellow circle.
Adhere the piece of Dinoroar Designer Paper to the bottom of the stenciled and stamped white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle with designer paper attached to the large Lovely Lipstick rectangle and then to the front of the Pineapple Punch card.
Mount the cup with scattered four-petal flowers all over it image from the Rise & Shine Set on Block C so the handle is on the left side of the block. Ink up the stamp with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" white rectangle. The handle should now be on the right.
Pick out the open cup die with the handle on the right side from the Cup Of Cheer Dies. Put it on top of the stamped cup image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Adhere the cup cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the left side of the stenciled circle and hides the bottoms of the steam wisps. The bottom of the cup should overlap the top of the designer paper a bit as well.
Mount the larger four-petal flower image from the Rise & Shine Set on Block A so either side of the stamp is up. Ink up the stamp with the Pineapple Punch Ink Pad. Stamp it twice on the small white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Cut out the flower images by hand using Paper Snips.
Adhere the flower cut outs on top of each other so they are off set and make one fuller flower.
Adhere the layered flowers to the front of the card using a Mini Stampin' Dimensional so they overlap the lower right side of the mug at the base of the handle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up Lovely Lipstick triangle from a sheet of Dinoroar Enamel Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower.
