Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4-1/4" x 5-1/4" from Smoky Slate Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
Lightly spritz the Smoky Slate rectangle with water and insert into the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
As you are ready to stamp using the Ride With Me Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the complete truck image from the Ride With Me Photopolymer Stamp Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 3-9/16" long from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped truck image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the truck is centered. Run through the tool.
Tip: You may have to press fairly firmly along the edges of the die to pop the cut out loose.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the truck rectangle cut out on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the Light and Dark Smoky Slate Markers to color in the front bumper, door handle, and tires on the truck.
Use the Light and Dark Bermuda Bay Markers to color in the rest of the truck including the hub caps.
Use the Color Lifter Marker to remove any excess color as needed.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 4" long from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the Bermuda Bay rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Tip: You may have to press fairly firmly along the edges of the die to pop the cut out loose.
Adhere the colored truck rectangle cut out to the center of the Bermuda Bay rectangle cut out.
Mount the "I'm always here to pick you up" sentiment from the Ride With Me Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Granny Apple Green rectangle.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 7/8" wide. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered top to bottom and close to the left side. Run through the tool.
Put the stitched rectangle die back on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is still centered top to bottom and the right edge of the die is an equal distance from the right side of the sentiment as the left side of the sentiment is from the left cut edge. Run through the tool.
Use the brush tip of the Bermuda Bay Dark Stampin' Blends to color a large heart droplet on a sheet of Heart Epoxy Droplets while it is on the sheet. Set aside to dry.
If the dry embossed Smoky Slate rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Cut two pieces of Blueberry Bushel 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon each about 6-1/2" long.
Lay the two pieces of ribbon across the center of the dry embossed Smoky Slate rectangle at an angle. Let the two pieces of ribbon criss cross near the center of the rectangle. Use a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive where the ribbons criss cross to adhere the ribbon pieces in place. Also secure the ribbons in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Add more Tear & Tape pieces to the back of the dry embossed Smoky Slate rectangle. Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and adhere the dry embossed Smoky Slate rectangle to the front of the Blueberry Bushel card so it is centered. Try not to flatten the corrugations in the dry embossed Smoky Slate piece out too much.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape over the criss crossed ribbon on the front of the card. Add SNAIL to the back of the matted truck rectangles. Adhere the matted truck rectangles to the front of the card so they are centered side to side and slightly closer to the top edge.
Adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and overlaps the bottom of the matted truck rectangles half way.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up the colored epoxy heart droplet from the sheet making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere the heart droplet to the bottom right corner of the sentiment rectangle cut out at a slight angle.
