P retty Easter card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, Pearlescent Specialty Paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" from Pearlescent Specialty Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Pearlescent Specialty Paper
- 1-1/4" x 2" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 1-1/8" x 1-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
Put the large rectangle of Pearlescent Specialty Paper vertically on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark and Light Purple Posy and Light Highland Heather Stampin' Blends to color in a watercolor wash background in the center of the vertical Pearlescent Paper. Blend the colors together.
Adhere the colored Pearlescent Paper rectangle to the large Highland Heather rectangle and then to the front of the Basic White Thick card.
Mount the large peony flower only image from the Prized Peony Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pearlescent Specialty Paper square.
Pick out the matching, open, peony flower die from the Peony Dies. Put it on top of the stamped peony image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Put the peony flower cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light Highland Heather Stampin' Blends to color in the flower center.
Adhere the stamped and colored peony flower cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 1" from the top.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the small Highland Heather rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the word "Easter" die from the Word Wishes Dies. Put it on top of the Highland Heather square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Highland Heather (purple) side is facing up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the word "Easter" cut out and adhere it to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom right side of the peony flower cut out a bit.
Cut a 4" piece of the Purple Posy 1/2" ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front at a slight angle so it overlaps the bottom left side of the flower cut out and is near the beginning of the word "Easter" cut out.
