T
hese little luminaries are a great addition to a mantle, or even a dinner table.
Whisper White - 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
White Shimmer paper - 1/2" x 11"
White Shimmer paper - 1/4" x 11"
Vellum - 4 1/4 x 11"
Versamark ink
Shimmer White Embossing powder
Tear'n Tape

Using Versamark, stamp your designs across the vellum, leaving about 1/2 - 3/4". Apply the Shimmer White Embossing power, and heat emboss.
Add Tear'n Tape to back of white shimmer strips, and along the bottom of the wrong side of the vellum.
On 3 1/2" square, score 1/2" from edge on all four sides.
Snip on score lines to create the "sides" of the box. Fold and burnish all score lines. Fold one side in, use 1/2" punch to create a hole, centred, in the base of the box. Put glue on little tabs and fold to create box.
Adhere the Vellum to the sides of the inverted box, starting at the middle of box part, as opposed to a corner, ** Make sure the "box" is upside down - ie - the flat part is facing up. Glue the
Peel the backing off the Shimmer white strips and apply the 1/2" strip to the bottom part of the luminary, and the 1/4" strip to the top. I found I had to use liquid glue at the ends, as the tear'n tape wasn't holding.
Insert your battery operated tea light, securing with glue dots, making sure the switch is available through the 1/2" hole in the base.
