(2) 1/8 x 11 - purse trim
Scrap for 1/2” circle on top of daises
2 1/2 x 5 - decorative front flap - not shown
Scrap for Daisy punched twice.
Designer Series paper - Happiness Blooms
(2) 6 x 12- DSP purse sides
Score all four sides at 1 3/4”
Cut to the score line on two opposite sides
Glue end tab to sides. These will be hidden once the DSP is wrapped around.
Once all tabs are glued in place you will have a nice rectangular purse base.
This is the side view of the base.
Now let’s work on the purse body.
Run a strip of tear tap done one short side on each piece of DSP.
Attach these two pieces end to end to make one long piece that is 24” long.
Run a piece of tear tape on the inside along the long 24” side. This will adhere the purse body to the purse base.
Start in the middle of one side of the purse base , after you have pulled the tear tape, and apply to the purse base. Don’t worry if you are not exact. The DSP and paper go so well that you don’t see it if the purse base is exposed.
Take your purse handles ( 1” x 11”) and run them through the big shot using the scallop oval framlit from Layering Ovals. Do this on both handles, both sides. I had good luck doing two at a time, but you be the judge.
Fold the purse handles in half and glue together. Leave 1” at the ends open so they can be adhered to the purse body.
Next take the purse flap that is 2 1/2 x 5 and run it through the embossing folder.
I used my envelope punchboard to punch the half round on each side but you have a corner punch.
Up to you!
Next score 2” down on the square side of the flap.
Glue the flap down to the front of the purse.
Punch the daisies (2) from white and glue together.
Punch a Night of Navy 1/2” circle and glue to daisy center
Apply faceted jewel to circle.
Glue daisy to flap.
Glue handles to purse.
I use Large paper clips to hold the handles in place till the glue drys.
