Surprise Inside Treat Box |
|
T
his little treat box will brighten anyone's day!
I created this to show off the Nothing's Better Than stamp set, but you could use any set you have!
What a great little treat for Easter, Mother's day and beyond!
What you need to create this project:
Cinnamon Cider card stock: 4" x 5 7/8"
Basic White or Designer Series Paper: 2" x 6"
Basic White: 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" (front)
1 3/4" x 2 1/4" (inside)
1" x 2" scrap for die-cut chocolates
Early Espresso: 2 3/4" x 4" (base)
1 7/8" x 2 5/8" (front mat)
1 7/8" x 2 3/8" (inside mat)
Window Sheet: 1/2" x 2"
Nothing Better Than Stamp set
Ink- Cinnamon Cider, Early Espresso
Liquid Adhesive / Dimensionals / Mini Glue Dots / Scotch tape
Stitched So Sweetly Dies
Hershey Nugget chocolates
Score the Cinnamon Cider cardstock (4" x 5 7/8")
at 5/8" on all 4 sides. With the long side (5 7/8") at the top of your scorer, score at 2 5/8" and 3 1/4".
Miter all the squares as in the picture.
Punch a half-circle from one end (this will be the top of the box)
Burnish all score lines.
Add adhesive to all the mitered flaps on the BOX side (opposite of the half-circle punch out). Fold flaps in and adhere to create the box.
Add adhesive to the flaps of the lid, fold in and adhere.
Stamp chocolates on the 1" x 2" scrap and die cut. Add dimensionals to the back of the first and second chocolate. (The last one will hang off the box a bit).
Die cut the word CHOCOLATE from the 1 7/8" x 2 5/8" piece of Early Espresso.
Adhere this to the 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" piece of Basic White at an angle.
Stamp the sentiment at an angle on top of the word chocolate and adhere the die-cut candies below.
Adhere this panel to the 7/8" x 2 5/8" Early Espresso mat and then to the front of the box.
Stamp Basic White 1 3/4" x 2 1/4" piece with inside sentiment and chocolates image.
To create the pop-up:
Add a mini glue dot to the bottom of the window sheet strip. Adhere this strip to the center front/inside of the box. Place chocolates in box. Lay Early Espresso 1 7/8" x 2 3/8" mat on top of chocolates.
Gently bend the window sheet strip over the mat and tape with scotch tape.
Add adhesive to basic white sentiment panel and adhere to the Early Espresso mat OVER the window sheet strip (sandwiching the acetate strip in the middle).
Lay the image down and close the box.
Create box base by die-cutting a rectangle with the second-largest Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die from the Early Espresso 2 3/4" x 4" cardstock.
Place the die back on top of the rectangle, moving it over 3 scallops and die cut again. This will create a rectangle the correct size.
Adhere to the bottom of box.
