Cut cardstock, Watercolor Paper, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Watercolor Paper
- 1-1/4" x 4-1/2" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 1-1/8" x 4-3/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
- scrap of Crushed Curry Cardstock at least 3/4" wide
Fold paper towels into a mat to help protect your work surface. Place the Watercolor Paper on the paper towel mat.
Tips for working with the Brusho Crystal Colour:
- Do NOT open the lids on the containers. The powder is extremely fine and will go everywhere if you do.
- Use a push pin, thumbtack, needle, or Paper-Piercing Tool to poke two or three holes in the lids instead. Wipe the tip of the poker with a tissue between colors to prevent spreading color from one container to another.
- You may need to sharply tap the bottom of the container to get the powder to come out at first as they are very full of powder. Once some powder has come out, it should be easier to shake out more powder.
Sprinkle a liberal amount of Yellow Brusho onto the Watercolor Paper.
If you haven't already done so, fill an Aqua Painter with water.
Squeeze the Aqua Painter gently to get the water flowing into the brush tip. Use the brush tip to swirl the color around until you are happy with the coverage. Sprinkle on and spread around more Brusho Crystal Colour if desired. Use a paper towel to blot off excess water if desired. Set the Watercolor Paper aside to let it dry thoroughly.
Tip: Scribble on paper towels to clean the tip of the Aqua Painter until no more color is coming off.
Tip: You can use a Heat Tool to speed up drying if you wish.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the 1-1/4" x 4-1/2" Crushed Curry strip. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of Crushed Curry on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Crushed Curry facing up).
Pick out the word "sunshine" thinlit from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. Place it on top of the Crushed Curry Cardstock piece on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Don't worry about keeping the dot for the "i".
If the Brusho watercolored Watercolor Paper piece is dry, then proceed with the next step.
Mount the flower image from the Sunshine Sayings Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad and stamp it randomly all over the left, middle, and upper edges of the Brusho watercolored Watercolor Paper rectangle. Stamp some of the images without re-inking the stamp. Let some of the image overlap and let some of them go off the edges of the Watercolor Paper.
Adhere the stamped, Brusho watercolored Watercolor Paper piece to the Real Red rectangle using Tear & Tape Adhesive along the edges. Then, adhere it to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the word "sunshine" cut out. Adhere it along the bottom of the Watercolor Paper on the front of the card so the "e" is near the right edge. If the rest of your sentiment needs to go under the word "sunshine" then be sure to leave room below it.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Sunshine Sayings Set on an appropriately sized block. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Crushed Curry Cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the sentiment and cut the words apart.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the word cut outs to the front of the card at slight angles that overlap each other.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three differently sized Lovely Lipstick dots from a sheet of Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one as the dot on the "i" in the word sunshine and the other two randomly to the front of the card.
