Christmas!!!! Oh how I love Christmas!! My childhood memories of Christmas are Santa (AKA my DAD) stomping around on the roof of our house and jingling bells, wonderful smells coming from momma's kitchen, a beautiful white flocked Christmas tree and mostly the joy that was in our home. I think Daddy loved Christmas more than all of us. But it was infectious. It was "the most wonderful time of the year".
I cut 2" strips of Whisper White card stock then cut them to 4 inches in length.
I used our Tag Top Punch to make the pretty tops.
I stamped the snowman in Early Espresso ink and used one of our Blender Pens to make just a hint of a shadow around the edges.
I used the same Blender Pen to grab little bits of color from a variety of ink pads to color the scarf, hat, stick arms and carrot nose and boots.
For the snowflake background I used the snowflake stamp in that same set and stamped off the Balmy Blue ink once for a softer look.
I stamped the sentiment from Farmhouse Christmas set in full strength Balmy Blue sprinkled on clear embossing powder and heat embossed it to darken the color a hint and give it some shine.
I then sponged my sides, added a few snowflakes cut with the Blizzard Thinlits Die and it was finished. If you look hard you'll also see a hint of the BEAUTIFUL Frost White Shimmer Paint. This paint is like Christmas in a jar.
Hope these little guys bring a smile to your face ... they are a delight to make.
