So Sentimental Foil Flower Wishes |
P retty z-fold card featuring heat embossing and lots of foil perfect for many special occasions.
Cut cardstock, foil sheets, and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2"
- 2-5/8" x 4-1/8" of small rose gold and silver flowers scattered on white background from Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3-5/8" from Copper Foil Sheets
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Fold the Whisper White Thick card on the score lines so the 2-3/4" score line is a mountain fold and the 5-1/2" score line is a valley fold making a z-fold card. Use the Bone Folder so you get really crisp folds.
Adhere the piece of Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper to the small panel on the left of the card front.
Pick out the largest stitched label die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Put it on top of the Copper Foil Sheet rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Rub the Embossing Buddy all over the Whisper White rectangle.
Mount the "wishing you much happiness..." sentiment from the So Sentimental Set on Block D. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Lay the stamped cardstock on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped sentiment. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Tip: I use a fine-tip paintbrush to knock off any excess powder that is stuck anywhere I don't want it.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Pick out the smooth oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies that cuts out a smooth oval that is 2-3/4" long. Put it on top of the heat embossed sentiment rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. it will cut off a tiny bit of the tail of the "y" in the world "always." Run through the tool.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the sentiment oval cut out to the center of the Copper Foil label cut out.
Note: SNAIL Adhesive does NOT stick well to the Foil Sheets, so you'll get better adhesion if you use Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the left side of the matted sentiment labels ONLY. Remove the protective backings and adhere the matted sentiment labels to the small half front of the card with the designer paper on it. Make sure no adhesive touches the flat back of the card or the card won't open.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle so it is centered over the lower left of the white sentiment oval just above the angle of the copper foil label cut out.
Pick out a silver leaves trinket from the Leaves Trinkets. Adhere it to the card front using a Mini Glue Dot so the stem of the trinket is tucked under the knot on the ribbon.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 silver pearls from a sheet of Metallic Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the right side of the flat back of the card.
