Snowman Season Snow Circle |
F un holiday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Misty Moonlight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" of lighter mottled blue and purple design from Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1" square from Adhesive Sheets
Insert the largest Whisper White rectangle into the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the Pool Party rectangle and then to the front of the Misty Moonlight card.
Unlock the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. Slide the Snowflake Splendor Designer Paper strip into the punch. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp using the Snowman Season Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Let It Snow" sentiment from the Snowman Season Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the designer paper circle punch out.
Adhere the stamped circle punch out to the front of the card so it is in the lower right corner.
Mount the snowman body image from the Snowman Season Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on one end of the vertical white strip.
Unlock the Snowman Builder Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped snowman body image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Keep the punched out snowman and the remaining strip of white cardstock. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the top hat image from the Snowman Season Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it the remaining end of the white strip, leaving room to punch it out.
Hold the unlocked Snowman Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped top hat image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Put the snowman punch out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light Pumpkin Pie Marker to color in the snowman's carrot nose.
Use the Dark Pool Party Marker to add some color to the shaded areas on his body.
Adhere the colored snowman punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the left side of the sentiment designer paper circle punch out a bit and the bottoms of the circle and the snowman are even.
Put the hat punch out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark Real Red Marker to color in the holly berries on the hat.
Use the Dark and Light Shaded Spruce Markers to color in the holly leaves and stripes on the ribbon on the hat.
Use the Dark Smoky Slate Marker to color in the rest of the hat.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the colored hat punch out to the top of the snowman's head at a slight angle as shown.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the Crumb Cake strip near one end. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Hold the unlocked Snowman Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the strip of Crumb Cake Cardstock into the punch and get it centered in the punching area for the stick arms. Punch. Make sure you are punching the end with the Adhesive Sheets square attached. You may have to use a bit of force to punch through all the layers.
Carefully peel the backing off the adhesive on the backs of the stick arms one at a time and adhere them to the card front so they stick out from behind the snowman's body as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 Just Jade snowflakes from a sheet of Snowflake Adhesive-Backed Embellishments making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a rough triangle to the sentiment designer circle punch out over the sentiment.
