Snowflake Wishes Snow Framed Tree |
P retty, winter-themed thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" from Night Of Navy Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Beauty Of Friendship Set or the Snowflake Wishes Set, place the cardstock or vellum on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the bare tree image from the Beauty Of Friendship Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vertical white rectangle so the bottom of the trunk is about 7/8" from the bottom of the cardstock and the left side of the tree branches is about 3/4" from the left edge of the cardstock.
Mount the "Thank You Snow Much" sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vertical stamped white rectangle so it overlaps the bottom right branches of the tree image and the right side of the trunk of the tree image a bit.
Pick out the large, open frame die with snowflakes in three of the corners from the So Many Snowflakes Dies. Put it vertically on top of the vertical Night Of Navy rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is in the center and the end with two groupings of snowflakes is on the bottom. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. You are using the frame cut out by the die on this project. You can throw away the interior cut out piece or save it for scrap cardstock to use on another project.
Adhere the Night Of Navy rectangle with the snowflake framed opening cut out of the center to the stamped white rectangle so it is evenly centered on the white rectangle and the end with the two groupings of snowflakes is on the bottom. It should frame the stamped tree and sentiment.
Use Paper Snips to cut some scraps out of the leftover iridescent foil after you've punched out the Wonderful Snowflakes.
Pick out the two smallest, detailed snowflake dies from the So Many Snowflakes Dies. Put them on top of the scraps of iridescent foil on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the two small, iridescent foil snowflake cut outs to the front of the card as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 4 gems from a sheet of Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the iridescent foil snowflake cut outs and the snowflakes on the edge of the frame at the top and the lower left side.
Cut a 4" piece of the White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the bottom right corner of the Night Of Navy frame as shown.
