Shadow Box Technique with Balloon Adventures Bundle |
T his is a very easy and fun technique which enables us to use dies in new ways and that's ALWAYS a good thing!

For your card base, cut a 5 1/2" x 10 1/2" panel.
Score on the 10 1/2" side at 1/2", 4", 4 1/2" & 8".
Place your Balloon Pop-Up Thinlit between the 1/2" & 4" score lines. The thinlit is taller than the card stock, so just even it up with equal parts hanging off the top and bottom.
Run through your Big Shot.
Fold inwards on all score lines. See picture.
Glue the 1/2" strip to the facing panel as shown.
This is now what your card will look like.
Adhere a panel measuring 4" x 5 1/2" to the partial front of the card.
Once that front panel is glued into place, this is how your card will look from the inside.
To clean up the appearance and give yourself a place to write a sentiment, glue a 3 3/4" x 5 1/4" panel to the inside, left.
You've made a Shadow Box card!! To finish your card, stamp and punch out some balloons and adhere to the pop-up balloons. Add a banner below them and decorate the front of the card as desired.
