Scary Cute Tooth Fairy Box |
T ooth fairy box made with Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 4-1/2" x 6" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 4-1/2" x 6" of red, green, pink, and light blue diagonal stripes on white background design from Sweetest Christmas 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Use Stampin' Seal to adhere the designer paper rectangle to the large cardstock rectangle. Put adhesive all over the back of the designer paper before adhering so that almost every bit of designer paper will be firmly stuck down.
Pick out the pillowbox die from the Pretty Pillowbox Dies. Put it on top of the designer paper adhered to cardstock rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
Pick out the small, solid die with a straight edge on one side and a curved edge on the other with bumpy curves in each bump from the Pretty Pillowbox Dies. Put it on top of the designer paper adhered to cardstock rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered inside the bumps of the flap of the pillowbox die. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Keep the small, solid die with a straight edge on one side and a curved edge on the other with bumpy curves in each bump die out. Place it on top of the cut out box on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered along the small flat edge in the center of the bottom of the box with the bumps pointing up and the straight edge along the straight edge of the box. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Note: This will cut holes in the bottom of the box for you to thread ribbon through later to close the box.
Place the small, solid die with a straight edge on one side and a curved edge on the other with bumpy curves in each bump die out on top of the small Garden Green rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered. Run through the machine.
Note: This will cut holes in the Garden Green rectangle and will outline the shape of the die.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the shape of the bumpy curves die pressed into the Garden Green rectangle.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the Garden Green bumpy curves cut out over the holes cut into the bottom part of the box cut out. The straight edges should be even and the holes on both pieces should line up.
Use a Bone Folder to fold the box cut out on all straight lines. Carefully fold along all curved lines as well.
Fold the box up so the curved flaps on the sides will be open on the back side of the completed box. Put the Tear & Tape on the inside edge of those curved edges and add some Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen around the rest of the curved edges. Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and secure the ends of the box together.
As you are ready to stamp using the Alphabest Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
One at a time, mount the letters "t," "o," and "h" from the Alphabest Set on Block A. Ink them up with the Real Red Ink Pad and stamp them each vertically down the right and left sides of the vertical 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" white strip so you have two "t" letters, two "o" letters, and one "h" letter. Leave room between each letter to be able to punch them out.
Unlock the Best Label Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. One at a time, slide the stamped letters into the opened Best Label Punch and get them centered in the punching area. Punch until you have them all punched out.
Use small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the backs of the punched out letters to adhere them across the bottom of the front of the box as shown to spell out the word "tooth."
Mount the fairy image from the Scary Cute Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-3/4" x 2" white rectangle.
Pick out the rectangular tag die from the Pretty Pillowbox Dies. Put it on top of the stamped fairy rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the fairy is centered in the die as much as possible with the ribbon hole on the top just above her crown. Run through the machine.
Cut out an 8" piece of the Real Red ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack.
Slide the ends of the ribbon through the holes in the bottom of the box from the inside and get the ribbon centered.
Slide the ends of the ribbon through the holes in the top flap of the box from the underside of the flap and get the ribbon centered.
Slide the fairy tag cut out onto the loose end of the ribbon on the right side. Tie in place using a very loose knot. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
Tip: Leave the knot very loose so it is easy to untie enough to slide a tooth or money into the box before tying shut again very loosely.
Use a Mini Glue Dot under the top of the back of the tag to hold it in place on the flap of the box so it doesn't fall off when opening and closing the box.
