Pale Papaya Pansy Petals |
|
I created this card with inspiration from after being inspired by Faye Molsberry.
Dimensions:
• 8 ½" x 5 ½" Pale Papaya scored at 4¼" and folded to create the card base.
• (2) 5 ½" x 4" Very Vanilla cardstock
• 1" x 3" Very Vanilla cardstock for the sentiment
• 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" Merry Merlot cardstock
• 2" x 5 ¼" Pansy Petals DSP
• 2 ½" x 2 ½" Merry Merlot cardstock for contrast.
• 2 ½" x 3" Pale Papaya cardstock
• 2" x 2" Old Olive cardstock
• 2½" x 3" Evening Evergreen cardstock
• 1" square So Saffron cardstock
Use the Painted Texture 3D folder to emboss one of the 5 ½" x 4" Very Vanilla cardstock. Adhere it to the 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" Merry Merlot cardstock.
Use a Border Die to cut the edge along the 5¼" side of the Designer Series Paper and adhere it to the left side of the card front.
Use the dies to cut out the sizeable solid pansy petal, two of the single solid petals, and the flower bud from the Pale Papaya cardstock. Next, use the dies to cut out the contrast for the edge of the flowers, including the bud and the large beard for the center of the pansy, all from the Merry Merlot cardstock.
Use the die with the three flower centers to cut them out using So Saffron cardstock. Set two aside and save one for the flower.
Adhere the contrast edges to the petals using very little liquid glue. Hold the two large leaves together, overlapping them in the middle. Add a dimensional to the topside at the bottom of each petal, bring in the large three-piece petal, and put them together. Be careful that you keep the flower together until you can mount it to the card front.
Use dies to cut out two large detail leaves and the stem for the bud using Evening Evergreen cardstock.
Use the large leaf die to cut out two leaves from the Old Olive cardstock. Adhere the Evening Evergreen contrast to the Old Olive leaves.
Place the pansy and the leaves onto the card front to decide where you want to put the flower and where you want to put the leaves. Once satisfied, add the pansy to the card front with Dimensionals. Adhere the leaves under the pansy with liquid glue.
Assemble the bud with the Pale Papaya on the bottom, followed by Merry Merlo contrast edge and the Evening Evergreen stem. Apply glue to the bud and toward the bottom of the stem, then slide the stem under the pansy and adhere it to the card front.
Stamp the sentiment on the small piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Slide it into the Lovely Labels Punch, then trim off the length where you want it and adhere it to the front of the card.
On the second piece of Very Vanilla cardstock stamp the contrasting color for a small pansy in Merry Merlot ink in one of the lower corners, then use the second stamp to fill in the flower with Pale Papaya.
Add a greeting in Merry Merlot ink.
Finish off the front with a bumblebee trinket and Genial Gems.
TA-DA!
