Ornate Style Flower Circles |
P retty Easter card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" circle of small white and orange flowers and dark green leaves on light green background design from Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper, punched out using 2" Circle Punch
- 2" circle of small, outlined, dark green flower and leaves on light green background design from Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper, punched out using 2" Circle Punch
- 2" circle of large daisies and small flowers and leaves design from Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper, punched out using 2" Circle Punch
- 2-1/2" x 8-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Terracotta Tile Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
Insert the Bumblebee rectangle into the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Bumblebee rectangle to the front of the Old Olive card.
Unlock the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. Punch out three circles from the strip of Old Olive Cardstock and one circle from the strip of Terracotta Tile Cardstock.
If you haven't already done so, use the 2" Circle Punch (unlocked and held upside down so you can see the punching area) to punch out the 3 circles of Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper. Leave the punch unlocked.
Adhere the punched out designer paper circles to the centers of the Old Olive circle punch outs.
Adhere the three matted designer paper circles to the front of the card so they are about 3/4" from the top and the two on the left side overlap each other a bit. The leftmost and rightmost circles should almost touch the left and right edges of the Bumblebee rectangle.
As you are ready to stamp using the Timeless Tulips Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Happy Easter, Happy Spring happy, happy everything" sentiment from the Timeless Tulips Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small, horizontal white rectangle.
Pick out the long, skinny, stitched, straight-edged rectangle die from the Ornate Layers Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered top to bottom in the rectangle and is slightly closer to the left edge (about 1/4" from the left edge). Run through the machine. Keep the die out.
Put the rectangle die back on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is still centered top to bottom and the right edge of the die is about 1/4" from the right edge of the sentiment. Line the die up with the already cut cardstock as close as you can. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals so it overlaps the bottom of the rightmost and center matted flower circles just a tiny bit and is centered between them as shown.
Mount the large bouquet of flowers image from the Ornate Style Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the remaining, large, vertical white rectangle so you get all of the flowers and leaves at the bottom of the stamp.
Holding the unlocked 2" Circle Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped flower bouquet image into the punch and get it centered over the flowers at the bottom of the stamped image. Punch.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the stamped white circle punch out on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the Dark and Light Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to color in one of the chrysanthemums.
Use the Dark and Light Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends to color in the other chrysanthemum.
Use the Dark and Light Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the smaller flowers.
Use the Light Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to add a small touch of pink to the centers of the smaller flowers then blend everything together again with the Light Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.
Use the Dark and Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color in the leaves.
Use the Dark Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends to color in any remaining white space.
Adhere the stamped and colored flower circle punch out to the center of the Terracotta Tile circle punch out.
Adhere the matted, colored flower circle punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the sentiment rectangle and overlaps the top edge of it slightly.
