Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Basic Black Cardstock
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 1" wide
Mount the Sheet Music background stamp on Block F. Place the Sheet Music background stamp rubber side up on Grid Paper on your work surface. Ink up the stamp by pouncing or rubbing the Memento Pad all over it. Leave the inked up stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the large Whisper White rectangle on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub firmly all over. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Tip: I just clean my background stamps by running them under water until the water runs clear. Then, I let them air dry.
As you are ready to stamp using the Nine Lives Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the solid yarn ball with string image from the Nine Lives Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp onto Grid Paper. Then, WITHOUT re-inking, stamp it on the stamped, large white rectangle in the lower right corner. Leave the stamp on the block.
Tip: Make sure your music is right side up! If you need to, look at the image on the stamp case to help you orient the cardstock the right way.
Re-ink the solid yarn ball with string image with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp onto Grid Paper. Then, WITHOUT re-inking, stamp it on the scrap of white cardstock. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Mount the detailed yarn ball with string image from the Nine Lives Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of one of the previously stamped solid yarn ball with string images. Re-ink the stamp with Real Red Ink Pad and stamp it over the top of the other previously stamped solid yarn ball with string image.
Unlock the 1/2" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped yarn ball image on the scrap of white cardstock into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the punched out yarn ball on top of the yarn ball on the large, stamped white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped large white rectangle to the large Basic Black rectangle and then to the front of the Real Red card.
Mount the "You're the Cat's Meow!" sentiment from the Nine Lives Set on Block B. Carefully ink up only the words "You're the Cat's" by pressing it to the Memento Pad. Stamp near the upper left corner of the small white rectangle. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave the stamp on the block.
Carefully ink up only the word "Meow!" by pressing the sentiment stamp to the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp the word under the previously stamped words on the small white rectangle. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put it away.
Pick out the stitched rectangle framelit from the Rectangle Stitched Dies that cuts out a 1-13/16" x 3-3/16" rectangle. Place the stamped white rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the stitched rectangle framelit on top so the sentiment is in the upper left corner. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the stitched rectangle framelit from the Rectangle Stitched Dies that cuts out a 2-1/4" x 3-9/16" rectangle. Place the Real Red rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the stitched rectangle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the Real Red rectangle cut out.
Adhere the matted rectangles to the front of the card so they are centered side to side and about 5/8" from the top edge.
f you haven't already done so (or need to re-ink the pad), squirt some Whisper White Craft Ink Refill onto the Uninked Pad and spread it around and lightly mush it into the pad.
Tip: Be careful when working with Craft Ink as it will stain clothing.
Mount the cat with a face image from the Nine Lives Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of Basic Black Cardstock.
Allow the cat image to dry. You can speed up drying with the Heat Tool if you wish.
Unlock the Cat Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped cat image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Place the cat punch out on top of some scratch paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Mount the mottled cat image from the Nine Lives Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped cat image on the cat punch out.
Tip: I find it easier to line up the mottled cat image inside the cat with face image if I stamp the cat with face image first and then punch it out before stamping on the pattern.
Allow the cat punch out to dry. You can speed up drying with the Heat Tool if you wish.
Cut a 1-1/4" piece of Real Red 1/8" Solid Ribbon.
Wrap the ribbon piece around the cat punch out's neck and secure in place on the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape Adhesive and add some SNAIL to the back of the cat punch out. Adhere the cat punch out to the lower right side of the matted sentiment rectangles.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large rhinestone from a sheet of Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere the rhinestone to the center of the cat's collar.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 7 rhinestones from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere the rhinestones randomly to the card front.
