|
A simple, cute card featuring a Christmas moose.
|
Paper Cut Sizes:
Very Vanilla Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/5, scored at 4 1/4 and 3/4 cut off front edge.
Gingham DSP - I used Garden Green from Toile Tidings - 1 x 5/12 strip
Thick Very Vanilla for tag - 4 x 2
Thick Very Vanilla for 2 moose - 2 3/4 x 5 1/2
Open card flat. Stamp racoon in bottom right corner of front using Stays on Jet Black ink. Stamp a hat onto the top of the racoon's head in the same ink. Color the racoon very lightly in gray using an aqua painter and slate gray ink. Color the tail in black marker alternating with the grey. Squeeze and wipe aqua painter onto paper towel to clean it. Color the log with an aqua painter and crumb cake. Use a Real Red marker to color the hat.
Stamp trees in 2 sizes using Garden Green ink. Stamp off on some of the trees in the back ground. Stamping off - stamping again without reinking. Another way of stamping off is to ink then stamp on scrap paper, then stamp on the card stock without reinking.
Stamp To: and From on one side of the 2 x 4 tag panel. Stamp 2 trees in Garden Green on other side of the tag, stamp a 3rd tree using the stamping off technique (stamp again without reinking).
Punch top of tag with a tag topper punch.
Sponge the bottom edge of the card front with Garden Green ink. Sponge the all sides of the tag with Garden Green ink. Sponging is done by pressing a piece of sponge into the ink pad then brushing the edge of card stock with the inked sponge.
Wipe a panel of Thick Very Vanilla with an embossing buddy. Stamp 2 moose in VersaMark. Sprinkle with black embossing powder and heat set.
Punch out moose.
Color moose using aqua painter and Crumb Cake ink.
Stamp 2 scarves in Real Red on pieces of scrap Very Vanilla. If this has already done for you skip this step.
Fussy cut the scarves. If this has already been done for you, skip this step.
Glue scarves onto moose necks.
Glue the strips of gingham on the bottom inside edge of the card (the longer side of the folded card) and onto the back of the tag. The gingham strip should be visible when the top front is closed. Sponge the top front edge of the card and all the edges of the tag with Garden Green. Adhere moose onto card and tag with dimensionals. Use mini-dimensionals on the antlers.
Dot Christmas trees in the foreground with red Stickles. Let dry.
Stamp envelope with trees.
