Cut cardstock, Foil Sheets, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Merry Merlot Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 3-3/4" from Copper Foil Sheets
- 1-7/8" x 3-5/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/4" x 3" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Spritz the large Very Vanilla rectangle with water.
Tip: Wetting the cardstock before running it through the Big Shot in a dynamic embossing folder will give you a deeper, more defined impression because the water weakens the fibers a bit.
Tip: An old Stampin' Mist bottle filled with water is great for spritzing.
Insert the dampened Very Vanilla rectangle into the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Use the thin line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line up the cardstock and get it straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot. Set aside the embossed cardstock to let it dry thoroughly while you work on the rest of the card.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet piece and adhere the adhesive sheet to the white side of the Copper Foil Sheets rectangle. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the Copper Foil Sheets piece on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (copper facing up).
Pick out the "merry" thinlit from the Merry Christmas Thinlits. Place it on top of the copper rectangle on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Important: Save the cut out "merry" and the scraps of copper it was cut from. You will need the scraps in a later step.
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry Christmas To All Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the cross-hatch outlined label image from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Merry Merlot Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small vanilla strip.
Mount the block letter, small "Christmas" sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Merry Merlot Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the stamped label image on the vanilla strip.
Pick out the large label framelit from the Merry Christmas Thinlits. Place the stamped sentiment label on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the label framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the large, embossed Very Vanilla rectangle to the Merry Merlot rectangle and then to the front of the Very Vanilla Thick card.
Peel the protective backing off of the "merry" cut out and adhere it to the front of the card so it curves slightly and the loops at the end of the "m" are about 3/8" in from the left side of the card and the top of the "y" is about 1" from the top of the card.
Use Paper Snips to cut a very thin (about 1/16" wide) strip of Copper Foil Sheet from the scraps that is about 1" long.
Peel the protective backing off of the very thin strip of Copper Foil Sheet you just cut. Adhere it the front of the card so it sticks out from the end of the tail of the "y".
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the "Christmas" label cut out to the front of the card so it is below the word "merry" and the upper left corner slightly overlaps the bottom of the loops at the end of the "m".
Cut a 4" piece of Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8" Reversible Ribbon so that one end has a very sharp angle.
Pick out a star or snowflake element from the Snowflakes & Stars Wire Elements.
Slide the sharply angled end of the ribbon through the loop at the top of the star or snowflake. Center the star or snowflake on the ribbon and tie it in place using a half knot.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon with the star or snowflake hanging from it to the long tail of the "y" that you created. Make sure the coppery side of the ribbon is showing.
Trim the ends of the ribbon into angles.
