Card - 9cm x 13.3cm - wrap this piece in tin foil 11cm x 15.3cm approx.
Using Jet Black Stazon and Direct To Card technique apply streaks or heavier patches of black (depending on preference) to the tin foil.
Using the Lovely Lace embossing folder place the foil wrapped piece, foil side down in to the embossing folder (against the side marked sizzix) and run through Big Shot.
Once dry embossed, add Gold (or Copper) embossing powder. If you feel there is too much embossing powder coverage, use a small paintbrush to remove some of it. Use Heat Tool to melt the powder.
Sponge on a little of the Black Stazon to areas that you wish to darken further ie centre of flowers and around edges.
Finish the card as you wish. I layered the Gold Embossed version on to Basic Black then on to Gold Card base 21cm x 14.8cm (scored and folded at 10.5cm) and finished with gold ribbon and rhinestones. Sentiment heat embossed on to black then layered on to another mat that was also gold embossed and distressed with Black Stazon. This was then layered further on to Basic Black. NB: the gold card base I used is now retired so you may wish to try using Crumb Cake card base or layer on to Gold Foil card then on to Basic Black.
The Copper embossed version was layered on to Whisper White cardstock then on to Early Espresso card base.
Don't forget to finish the inside nicely.
And to decorate the envelope. Finishing touches make all the difference.
You will need to clean the inside of the embossing folder with Stazon Cleaner, a baby wipe and some kitchen roll to remove the Black Stazon residue.
