Cut Whisper White Card Stock 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”. Score at 4 1/4” on the 8 1/2” side.
Cut a 3 1/2” x 5” piece of Whisper White card stock. Run this piece of card stock using the lattice die from the Hummingbird Framelits set. Using the Big Shot Brush and pad set, carefully remove the diecut (should come out in one piece and can be saved for another project, if desired.) Run this piece of card stock in the Subtles Embossing Folder through the Big Shot.
Cut a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of Designers Series Paper of your choice.
Using a piece of 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of Whisper White card stock and the Big Shot, cut out the hummingbird and banner from the Hummingbird Framelits set.
Using the Stamparatus, place the negative of the hummingbird and banner on the stamping surface with magnets on each corner. With one panel in hinges and in open position, place the happy birthday sentiment stamp and the hummingbird stamp in the die cut openings. Close the panel on top of the stamps. This will adhere the stamps in the correct position for stamping the images on the diecuts. Place the diecuts back into the negative. Apply Tuxedo Black ink to both stamps and stamp onto the diecuts. Remove the diecuts.
Using the Light Old Olive Blends, color in all the green portions of the hummingbird diecut. Taking the Dark Old Olive Blends, color in the darker portions of the feathers—you will be coloring over the Light Old Olive to create the blended look. You will need to take the Light Old Olive thin line end and making circles, blend the light and dark colors together to get rid of any definite lines. Apply Dark Old Olive Blends to the beak. Now take the Light Flirty Flamingo Blends and color in the throat/breast area of the hummingbird. Using the Dark Flirty Flamingo, add some dark color from the beak down the front of the hummingbird. Now use the Light Flirty Flamingo and making circles with the thin line end, blend the light and dark together for a shadowed look on the front of the throat and breast of the humming bird. Also go over the beak with the Dark Flirty Flamingo Blends to create the beak color. The final step in coloring the hummingbird is adding Clear Wink of Stella to all the feathers as shown in the picture.
Assemble the card as follows: fold the Whisper White into a portrait card base. Attach the DSP of your choice to the front side of the card base. Attach the cut and embossed Whisper White Heavy card stock at an angle. Using dimensionals on both the banner and the hummingbird, place these diecuts as shown. Place three rhinestones randomly on card front. Stamp inside with choice of sentiments and/or stamped images.
Enjoy!
